Oslo, the capital of Norway, has a rich history dating back to settlements around the year 1000. By the end of the 1200s, it had become the capital of Norway. The modern Oslo that we know today has its roots in the 1624 fire that devastated the city. Following the fire, the city was moved to its current location and rebuilt with stone. Since then, it has developed into the bustling metropolis that it is today.

I have been living in Oslo since 1996 and still call it my home. It has the features of a nation’s capital, but with the feel of a small city and the ease of movement that comes with it.
